What Is Meccha Chameleon?

Meccha Chameleon is a multiplayer hide and seek game that blends stealth and prop hunt gameplay in a brand new way. Players split into 2 teams:

• Chameleon: Find ways to blend in with the surroundings to avoid being noticed.
• Hunter: Look carefully in all the corners, find those hiding.

The greatest difference is the Paint Camouflage method. Instead of turning into actual items, players utilise paint tools to imitate the colours, patterns and textures of the surroundings, so the character blends nearly seamlessly into the scenery.

With this idea, Meccha Chameleon may stage battles that are never the same. Every player chooses a different camouflage on the same terrain and this opens up for endless unexpected possibilities.

Meccha Chameleon’s Several Game Modes

Basic/Normal Mode

This is the classic mode. Players are split into two groups: Hiders and Hunters. Hiders have a limited time to draw and take cover. Hunters will start seeking and shooting down all the hiders before the time is out. If any hider is still alive, the hiders have won.

Infection Mode

Looks the same as Basic mode, but with a huge difference: if a hider is hit by a hunter they are now a hunter. It causes a “avalanche” effect where the number of hunters grows over time, putting extreme strain on the remaining hiders.

Double Mode

In this mode all players start as hiders. All have time to draw and find a hiding location. But then, suddenly, everyone is a hunter and starts to hunt each other. Whoever discovers the most other players wins.

Create The Ultimate "Pattern"

Don’t just choose a single hue. Eyedropper tool to correctly pick up the colours and patterns from the environment. Add this to the fact that you can change your posture (lie down, curl up) and break the human form, and you will blend in better.

Choose Clever Spots

Places with plenty of distracting details like a bookcase, a complicated painting, or dark corners are "promised land" for chameleons. Don’t do smooth walls, you will get caught straight away even if you make a minor mistake.

Produce Shadows

Use colour to produce shadow effects on your body. This will make you look “flat” and more invisible to your opponents.

Be Patient

When your camouflage is perfect, any movement will give you away. The hunter is passing, quiet and still.
